Donald: Re: "That is correct. I never thought of trying to figure out why that is, on a fundamental basis. It just worked out that way and the pattern is statistically viable. Not that I shouldnt dwell into it more, but I learned something from a friend who is scientist and we were just discussing the mechanics of doing an analysis, whether its with genes, or weather, or the market. When doing an analysis, sometimes its better to keep it simple. If it meets the parameters of being statistially viable, then its statistically viable. We may not know exactly why, but that doesnt diminish the statistical viability."

Understood. And I have no reason to explain why the Nasdaq is up 88% of the time on July 9th only to say that it happened again <g>.

Downside was limited and SPX 1180 held as expected. But like I said previously, the upside seems to be limited as well. Looks more like a technical bounce with questionable staying power. It looks more like a pause to refresh before resuming a downtrend. What is your take?
