i would prefer he do his job which is to maintain a sound currency and nothing else. he wouldn't have to cut rates and he wouldn't have to raise rates last year if he would learn to let the market work on it's own. but politicians and bureaucrats can't resist. they think they are smarter than the markets and they must pander to the cries of the public to "do something!". we'd be better off if they did nothing.
