I think you're wrong on that. It's the liberals who are still in a Cold War mindset. They are the ones who want to cling to obsolete treaties (the Soviet Union doesn't exist anymore) and keep the Atlantic alliance alive at any cost. It was bold of Bush to say that we need to move beyond the Cold War and look at different ways of doing things. The missile shield should be looked at, I just get a little queasy at how rapidly the usual military industrial suspects have jumped on board.
