Newsmax is not my "favorite" news source nor does that article contain an opinion I agree with. If you consider that statement an apology akin to what the Chinese demanded, then you are not being honest with yourself. Bush handled the situation very well. He only did what he needed to do to get our people out. And he did it with dignity and with honor. JLA

Ruddy's wrong. The "apology" was actually a spit in the ol Chinese face. Let me paraphrase for you:

"We are SOOOO sorry you were such ASS HOLES and didn't give permission for our stricken plane to land [ like any decent law abiding country would have]. Too bad about your pilot. He had kids. That's rough."

Be interesting to see if Ruddy has changed his mind since April.
