The NRA regrets the intemperate words that have given you democratic liberals so much ammunition. My recall of the event was a statement of "Jack Booted Thugs" being applied to the ATF; Nazis was implicit. A retraction/apology was called for and immediately rejected. President Bush turned in his NRA life time membership. [I think it was a protest against the statement; perhaps the NRA has created some spin out of that]. NRA supporters also continue to bring up the reference of Nazi Germany initiating gun control. Inferring an association of gun control advocates to Nazi Germany. So forgive me if I can't offer some sympathy for their regrets. Jack Booted Thugs, ammunition? It's just sidebar stuff. My ammunition is the 2nd amendment and the Supreme Court Decision of US vs. Miller, I just can't get anyone to read it. Heck, the NRA can't even find room on their home page to put the full second amendment up there; it's not that long. You agree with the NRA interpretation of the 2nd Amendment; I happen to agree with the decision and opinion of the United States Supreme Court on the 2nd amendment. There's the principle difference between you and I [on the 2nd]. If agreement and respect of decisions of the US Supreme Court constitutes being a liberal....than I am a liberal and quite proud to be so. jttmab
