Jacob,
Maybe you would know this. In relation to fed rate cuts when did semis make lows in previous cycles. Perhaps time as eroded the ability for those true valuation lows to be recorded in this cycle. Many folks must have remembered missing out on the next leg up as you say you did. As the Stones said, Time is on our side. Mike

Thank you! When the most cautious and astute are ready to throw in the towel and admit they missed the bottom, then the way is paved for the real move down to begin.

Jacob, This market has really frustrated me. I think it is really hard to call in technology right now. I am back to work at this point (took some time off, but the market took a lot of the fun out of that). Maybe putting less time in will be a plus for my portfolio, who knows. It is perhaps ironic that the best investor I know of personally knows very little about the details of stocks and the market. Pretty much all he does is add to his Mircrosoft holdings, and he never sells.

The one thing I can rely on is my belief in technology. I think it is our future. So when it is argued that long-term tech stocks will not perform, I have trouble understanding that.

John
