That sounds like what happens at iHub when you post. But if you click on your post from the list of posts, there is an edit message. I don't know what SI is trying to accomplish; iHub is not exactly ready to be technically emulated yet, but they're trying slooooowwwwwwwlllllllllllyyyyyyyy.

So SI's road to improvement is to eliminate useful features?

I had something similar happen a few days ago. After I clicked "Respond" on the preview window, the post came up with no "15 minute Edit" feature. I then clicked on the thread name above the post to get the numbered list of posts on the thread, then clicked on my own post- -and GOT A WINDOW WITH THE 15-MINUTE EDIT FEATURE.

So they're not eliminating features, they're just moving them around- -sometimes to places where you can't find them!
