Since World War II, the "elderly" have had a firm grip on the direction of this nation. I do not buy into your argument that they couldn't have provided better for themselves.

You would prefer to saddle later generations with old debts, rather than to allow them to build on the prosperity that has come since Reagan.

That's a myth. The elderly are pretty well off generally.
