Agreed, if they have merit on their face, which they may well have. These laws are tricky though; as I understand them, if I donate all of my time to helping your campaign, that's not a reportable contribution (otherwise everyone who passes out leaflets would be a contributor). Of course, if he expended his own funds while doing so, I think that would be reportable.
