Yes. And its timing is part of the problem. The parabolic rise in G&K holdings--even the shiny pebbles--during the period right after publication made it easy to forget that little things like CAP are horrendous to predict. And GAP takes a quick trip to the cellar when earnings plummet.

Over the weekend, in connection with reading Matt Thomkins RTW valuation piece, I took another look at GG and the charts in Chapter 4.

I remember thinking when I first analyzed them: Gee, this is cool. You've got it made with a gorilla. Gorillas are so hard to find. They stick out like a sore thumb. You only have to worry when they start strutting down main street.

I still think you have it made with a gorilla. Only difference is that you have to worry all the time. <<ggg>>
