I think some of EMCs missing revenues will be found in STOR. IMBO. EMC nice upgrades saw a target for 45.

I would bet on the smaller storage names, especially software storage.
A strong push to spend will be needed to significantly impact EMC's earnings. I am not ruling it out but agree with you that one can look at competitors in the sector as better opportunities.

If EMC can maintain its gains, it would be a good sign for the Nasdaq.

Also that upgrade of SUNW is also playing a big part in EMC's move.... that is the one stock that I associate with EMC even though one is in servers and the other in storage.
Call it the expensive hardware group.
At least some analysts are calling a bottom in these type of names. They may not be the most unreliable based upon the track records of the past few months...but we have to remember that these guys do a lot of research on the industry and are more qualified to make a call than us Silicon Investor posters.<g>
