Hi, Wayne...one of the things I ALWAYS tell people who come back at me with the "I can't get access to the privately owned streams" response is this: In gold country, ANY GOLD COUNTRY, there are TWO ways to get material free to pan back at your hooch in a 5 gal bucket, which is why I only put together gold panning kits in the size that will fit into a 5 gal bucket's opening. Besides the gold panning kit, all one needs is: one of those spaghetti colander sieves from the grocery store (or a thrift shop<grin>) an OLD silverware tablespoon (or a small garden trowel) some zip-lock baggies one PERMANENT magic marker.
