Dear Eddie: It took me a minute but I got it! Here is my prayer for your wife. Father help her to see this woman as she really is, widowed, bitter, hateful, trying to get even with the world and not caring whom she hurts. But Father !! ( Love those BUTS ) would she turn her back on a person who is homeless, has had no medical care, is in the last and advanced stages of bone cancer which is among the most painful of all. Her teeth are rotting out and the odor of the cancer and rotten teeth is truly revolting. This person has done nothing to deserve this agony. The only thing she did was trust when she should not have. She trusted flesh and not God. As revolting as this person is she is called upon to embrace her. Tell her to clean the litter box , swish out the commodes, do dirty laundry and bury something dead before she does. Keep a little of the smell on her so the difference will not be that noticeable but do it ....... embrace her...hope this helps I will pray for her. I went to my first foot washing.... another elder in my church was next in line and I was to wash his feet. I looked down and his foot was ulcerated and putrid from a wound that happened years ago from a motorcycle wreck. I asked him , "Ronnie" why didn't you tell us you have been suffering so. He had no reply. As I washed his foot with soap and water I wept and wept over his wound..it was an important lesson for me ............
