What effect would you guess would a warning from NTAP have on the stock IYO? I mean, I personally feel the odds on NTAP warning are very good. The question is, is that already in the stock price?

Well if history repeats, NTAP will go up if it warns. That is what happened after they warned last time.

My guess is, it won't make much difference, if they warn about the current or next quarter. If they say they expect the downturn to last into calendar 2002, and are downsizing/restructuring/taking charges, on that expectation, then the stock goes down. Yes, having warned once, and with the recent EMC warning as "cover", another NTAP warning is quite likely. But who knows; I've been surprised enough times in the last 14 months, about what is and isn't priced into stocks, and the magnitude of company's warnings, that I have to label the above as a guess. And I'm keeping cash in reserve, in case we hit 5, which could happen anytime between tomorrow, and well into 2002. 11 still holding........for now.........
