Rush is plenty right-wing. Plenty. But mainly he is a party stooge. And doesn't allow any true debate or see any other position outside what the right-wing of the RNC wants him to. That's why he has no credibility. He even attacks McCain. So as a populist does he support massive corporate soft money coruption? Does he support pollution? Does he support energy gouging of consumers?

If he were independent and actually thought with his own head that would be a different matter. But he IS the mouthpiece of the right-wing of the Republican party. The two are inseperable. I'd also respect him more if he had a liberal or even moderate entertaining side man to debate with and allowed dissenting views. There is plenty to disagree with when Rush is talking but he never-ever allows the opposing view to get a word in edgewise. Cuts them off at best, excludes them from the show, insults them almost always. And he never admits when he's wrong. And he's wrong plenty of times. Most of the time in my view.

For instance, what's the difference between Lieberman and Bennett's views on morality? Almost nothing, but Rush attacks Lieberman and praises Bennett. See, it's just a party game. You want to hear preaching to the choir go ahead but it tells us nothing. It's not news. It's not educative. It's not even funny. It's just party propaganda which comes from the top through Rush's big mouth and he's got such a big ego he won't take the risk of being debated, proven wrong or shot down. His one-sided version of things is not free speech it's propaganda. Right-wing propaganda in support of the RNC and their soft money game.
