I am not making anything up about Hitler. I am sure that you are repeating something you read, probably in some NRA publication. They use very selective data in their statistical factoids. Most countries have never allowed gun ownership with as few a restrictions as the U.S. The ones that did, such as South Africa, were not protected either from crime or civil changes. Why don't you try to shoehorn your theory on Japan or Sweden? TP
