How many listed gold companies have been delisted during the past 10 years. And of those delisted, how many disclosed their derivative exposure to their shareholders, prior to going bust. Not many. I believe the veracity of a mining company could be called into question by these tactics. You yourself have delineated between the hedged and the unhedged producers. The markets have become wise to risk associated with a complicated hedgebook, and the markets have also come to understand that companies with derivative risk have an interest in maintaining a stable gold price. Barrick has suffered because of this and it is evident in their share price.
