xaver17 - I'm short Dell = Take a look at the %'s of shares these insiders are retaining:

WASHINGTON -- Dell Computer Corp. (DELL) insiders sold a total of 6,041,604 shares of the company's common stock in June, according to Form 4s filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Director Morton L. Topfer sold a total of 4,224,000 shares from June 1 to June 11 for $25 to $25.71 a share. At the end of June, he directly owned 52,983 shares and indirectly owned 23,202 shares, his filing said. Topfer registered 4 million shares June 4, as reported.

President and Chief Operating Officer Kevin B. Rollins acquired a total of 845,000 shares on June 22 and June 29 through the exercise of stock options for 88 cents a share. He sold the shares from June 22 to June 29 for $24 to $27.16 a share. He directly owned 10,965 shares and indirectly owned 2,391 shares at the end of May.

Dell Senior Vice President Paul D. Bell acquired a total of 349,584 shares June 27 through the exercise of stock options for $1.49 to $16.67 a share. He sold the shares the same day for $25.09 to $25.25 a share. At the end of June, Bell indirectly owned 3,875 shares.

Senior Vice President Michael D. Lambert acquired a total of 300,000 shares from June 5 to June 28 through the exercise of stock options for $2.63 a share. He sold the shares from June 5 to June 28 for $25.74 to $26.40 a share. He directly owned 778,049 shares and indirectly owned 1,923 shares at the end of June.

Senior Vice President Thomas B. Green acquired a total of 204,800 shares on June 8 and June 28 through the exercise of stock options for 98 cents a share. He sold the shares on June 8 and June 28 for $25.97 to $27.23 each. At the end of June, he directly owned 232,365 shares and indirectly owned 17,468 shares.

Senior Vice President Rosendo G. Parra acquired 118,200 shares June 11 through a stock option exercise for $12.74 a share. He sold the shares the same day for $24.50 to $24.60 each. He directly owned 500,864 shares and indirectly owned 18,020 shares at the end of June.

Dell Computer shares traded recently at $26.96, up $1.33, or 5.2%.

If my memory serves me well...Ol Mikey exercised his options and Actually bought at about 6.50 when the stock was at 18....and Did sell later at about 26
