Is it my imagination or did everything suddenly get smaller?

Regards,

Barb

So you made them even SMALLER yet?!?!?

I'd earn an SI "vacation" if I said what I really think.

Scott:

Please make the fonts bigger, so us old folk can read them.

Thanks

Don

Netscape- fonts are too small, but they're still the same old font.

IE- right size, still not the right easy on eyes "Dryer Font" though.

Using either browser is the font with Netscape and the size on IE too much to ask for???

I use both browsers set at 800 X 600 pixels. Many traders use
1280 X 720 or larger. I'm sure you'll hear from them tomorrow
if you don't get things straightened out.

STILL WAY TOO BIG!

WE NEED LIKE COPPERPLATE 2 POINT.

THE SIZE OF LINT.

And could you reduce the size of the entire message box down to about 1" by 1"?

And more ads, more ads please.

You have got to be kidding with these new fonts. The only thing I care about is the text and it is half the size it was. Get a clue!!

Scott,

<Font Change>

I use IE 5 with 1280x1084 resolution. Even with the smallest font selected in my browser, my "Subject Marks" page suddenly uses 2 lines per subject. (The date field overflows to 2 lines - the "AM" or "PM" goes on the next line).

I hate the effects of the change for that page! I have lots of subjects bookmarked and now I have to scroll twice as much. If you are going to keep the new fonts, please fix the Subject Marks page.

Peter

Scott: From bad to worse, re fonts. When you guys originally screwed them up (from a user's point of view) several months ago, I had to completely stop using Internet Explorer to access SI and switch instead to Netscape because that browser at least let me set my fonts at my preferred size by selecting a 2x increase from the "default."

NOW, however, I have to do a 4x increase to achieve the same "look" on posts -- and doing THAT then makes everything ELSE on the page so big (the message-list, quotes and charts, all kinds of other stuff) that THEY become virtually unusable (badly-formatted, taking up way too much screen-space, etc.).

Sorry, I'm running out of browsers in my effort to compensate for SI's font-unfriendliness -- seems to be getting to the point where my only remaining step is to simply quit coming here altogether, since it's gotten just too darned hard to read anything...

Hope that changes, but based on past experience I don't think I'll hold my breath (or wait much longer before moving-on to other sites instead)...

Vagabond

the changes are definitely for the worse. the new text is hideous and hard to read. Not that anybody is posting much worth reading these days anyway, of course...

Scott,

<< fonts ... users' feedback. >>

I like them very much (messages wise). Quite preferaable to what we have been living with, IMO ...

... but then again, I'm IE 5.5 working at 800 X 600 on a 19" monitor.

Individuals working at higher resolution, however, are likely to find them smallish.

Evidently there is a reason that SI is using fixed fonts, and this one works for me if fixed fonts need to be used, but I suspect it won't for others.

Do not like the new fonts. Please, please, change them back. Different is not always better.

Scott - odd - I just checked classic. They are like they used to be, but in new SI, they are your new way, which is way too small.
