$change is a possibility; a more likely kicker'll be either a supply or demand one. However, "inter-related" thing like a currency signal CAN kick something out of its range bound trading phenom. However, with GreenSPandex kicking the props outta interest rates, me thinks a $ change in policy ain't gonna do it this time. Just my considerably valuable opinion.<grin>

Allow me to digress a minute...there was another famous "range bound" market I used to love trading, and
you'll NEVER guess what kicked it out of it's range boundedness for over 15 years...

I'll name the "kick" and you guess the commodity: deal?
The kicker was "embryo transplant"...what was the commodity future contract so affected?

Your turn<g>:

<<what might break it.. only the dollar?>>

IMHO we need a bit of additional demand & a bit more consolidation.
THEN the dollar.
