LTK, What is your answer to Amots question?

My position is that there is no correct answer. There are just too many variables, imho. It is a matter of judgement and that judgement changes often depending upon the economic and earnings news we get and lots of other factors such as the investor appetite for stocks, interest rates, short interest etc...

I am not a long term investor---my focus is shorter term, driven by lots of shorter term factors.
That is why "absolute" levels of PEs is not important to me although I am aware of them. "Relative" PEs is the data that is more important for my trading decisions.

I am looking forward to your answer.
