Eveything has a "simple reason " doesn't it ?

It's ok if you need these stories and signs
and imaginary historical figures and examples
to prove to yourself that life is good, life is great
...and worth living. You have chosen to believe
in ancient stories , imaginary humans, imaginary
devils angels and prophets...

that even without which , life would still
provide you with ample experiences today
to know your own truths. ...but easier
to just read about your life , out of a book.

But people gregg are really quite capable , just
like Jesus did , of seeing the beauty , eternity
of Life nowdays , without the old stories of heaven
and hell.

The secular world is doing many things right , or
maybe you haven't noticed ? Just like many wonderful
stories that went "Once upon a time "....

It's wonderful if it takes stories of angels
and messiahs to arouse you enough to love or care.
But wouldn't it be just as beautiful , if people
just came together in the here and now ....without
thought of heaven or hell. But out of simple , dignified
human respect , living life in accordance to "your
own ministry"..your own two feet.

But that wouldn't satisfy you , would it ? It would
take away your "power" , and desire for imortality...
you would have to think up something original to say.
and there wouldn't be any "club" to belong to ...and
you would have to accept the truth , that
jesus was just
a man...

not a god.

Just ask Brees about Jesus being only the man ...1billion
followers of Islam cannot be wrong. The "Last Prophet"
of God , Mohammed said so!

regards

Mars

PS: Paul was very concerned with miracles , but forgot
most of them . ...and Jesus said :

"there will be those that will come after me that do greater deeds than I have done ."

---->proof he was just a philosopher !

;-)

There is a very simple reason that Paul does not concentrate on the miracles that Jesus did in His earthly ministry. First Paul was not an eyewitness to them

thank you , for starting out with the
the truth about Paul, not being an "eyewitness"
to anything , nor does he ever mention any of the
miracles of jesus , which is so very strange. yet...

you go onto say:

having met the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus.

What did you just say ? He met a man on the road to
Damascus , that's been dead for how long ?
And you say he was not witness to a miracle ?

ROFL

Yep pretty simple to understand your "simple " explanations gregg.

Paul has seen --->no miracles , but he has seen the
risen Christ by the side of the road . That is not
a miracle to you ? <GG>

You just can't admit that Christianity has backed itself into so many uneccesary corners with these miracles and magic revelation stuff . We all know about the walking on the water miracle , the feeding of the multitudes ,
all being borrowed from Buddhism. Buddha also gave
a famous --->Sermon on the Mount , to a huge gathering
of people , 500yrs earlier.

His message was to proclaim the power of the risen Christ to forgive sin, who, having paid the ultimate price, with His own sinless life, received the ringing endorsement of God through the resurrection from the dead.

I hope you will remember greggg, that jesus appears
out of nowhere up by the river jordan (the legend goes)
with John the Baptist , a fully formed man of 30yrs
of age . How do you know he lead a sinless life ?
You don't know a thing about the first
29yrs of his life...he could have been a thief, adulterer,
and sinner ....or anything at all for that matter,
before he turned preacher....

He (paul)did not deny any of the miracles of Christ, he simply built on what had already been established by the eyewitness of the Apostles. Would you plow a field twice?

I never said ---->that Paul denied the miracles
of Christ. Are you just being thick?

I said -->Paul never even mentions them at all ...not even a reference to the Sermon on the mount ...or even one
of the parables.

Message 16036214

At least in Islam , mohammed was clever enough to cover his tracks by being honest enough to admit
he was only the messenger ....but even he got
carried away with the angels , devils and evil Jinns ...they always do.

bye , c/ya
