Gottfried.... the six month thing....

The economic out look of AMAT and a lot of other companies may be a whole lot better in six months. But the stock market may not be any better. Its seems to be taken for granted that when these companies have a better outlook the stock prices will automatically rise.

I prefer the market as is, because it presents great short term trading patterns.

We have become so spoiled in the last ten years by the concensus opinion that the market has to go up. Because that's the way its always been . Every setback implies a recovery.

Few posters here remember when the DOW stayed under 650 for 10 years till the economist Henry Kauffman said the bear market was over. (what year was that?)

I have no idea if History repeats or rhymes, or ends but expectations are very rosy.

Regards, Jerome.
