And who is able to put down or at least live through an uprising? Israel. The Bosnians are a stunning reminder of what happens when a country has no one with guns but the gov't. One day they wake up and say "lets exterminate people from XXX" These people had no guns, no protections, they died, got raped, lost everything they had. The UN refused to give them small arms to defend themselves. Eventually they recanted, but not until countless atrocities were committed. This is unforgiveable & unacceptable. I rememeber a guy being interviewed just asking for a gun to protect himself and his family... Terrible. I hope it never occurs here. I have a feeling our country would not live through the civil war and strife that would erupt......
