I expect to hear in 10-15 yrs about several 100's of 1000's of people complaining publically about 401k inadequacy

the experiment is over a decade old now
and many people have flourished with their conservative accounts
but many others have been unsuccessful
many are not skilled at account management, myself included
most have become too dependent upon stocks, as the article said
but the great majority simply are not skilled at selecting funds, diversifying, and managing it all

I intend to consult financial planners in the next few months
the experiment aint worked for me
my 401k is down over 60% since spring 2000

anyone who thinks increasing risk for increased returns is nuts

Prez Bush is tinkering with a plan for allowing mgmt of individuals SocSecurity funds
I think it needs to be done by professionals, not individuals
biggest lesson to me in the last year: I aint a professional
how many are?
