I have my own theory about this. It is often assumed that people created God in an effort to explain the inexplicable. I don't think this is true. That is simply not a sufficiently compelling reason for such a ubiquitous phenomenon. Are you serious? Do you really believe that is your idea? You may have fell asleep with the Discovery Channel on but that "theory" is not your idea.
