This GPM thread continues to be Ignorant(scared) of this event.

By the thread i ofcourse mean those who post and read here.

As if being "quiet" and not "seeing" crap_on_the_table_top
is a valid method to put forth and remain a contributor here.

Its true, this GPM thread "wears no cloths", but then maybe
a poster here is a parent of a young child and this person in youth
and honestly will do what their "examples for life" cannot.

Joe Tlaga has served splendid commentary
The Hemingway Table
includes a letter to the US Secretary of the Treasury.

The Honorable Paul H. O'Neill
Secretary of the Treasury
1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, D.C. 20220

Dear Mr O'Neill:

This letter is written to resubmit to your personal attention
the attached FOIA request of May 7, 2001, for the reason
that the attached reply of your Assistant Commissioner
for Government wide Accounting, Larry D. Stout,
dated June 27, 2001, is on its face patently incorrect.

This is the question that was presented in the FOIA request
of May 7, 2001:

DOES THE TREASURY OF THE UNITED STATES
OWN 54,067,331 OUNCES OF GOLD AT U.S. MINT
IN WEST POINT, NEW YORK, WHICH ARE CLASSIFIED
IN F.M.S. STATUS REPORT OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2000,
AS "CUSTODIAL GOLD BULLION"? YES OR NO?

Joe Tlaga's letters are superb and very important.

... reclassification of Treasury gold as "Deep Storage"

... given us a huge opening in our quest to find a way
to get the gold truth.

We must go all out and follow Joe's example.

... alert Congress what is going on here.

All of Congress should ask Treasury Secretary O'Neill
what the heck is going on?

Senator Lieberman, Congressman Paul and YOU,
all deserve the right to the truth.

How important is this?

VERY I think.

Fellow Cafe member Ed Steer says it best:

... Bush Administration is now complicit in this...

... is now a conspiracy and coverup of terrifying dimensions.

... wonder how bad things really are in the international banking
and financial system to attempt to pull this off in broad daylight
with the whole world watching?

Must be pretty awful.

... are not running this country for the benefit of its citizens,
but for the elite of the international banking and financial system.

... how [are] Morgan/Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Citibank
[wrapped up] in this.....plus the British government and the Bundesbank!

... how [will] O'Neill wiggles his way out of this one.

... judge should decide on Reg Howe's lawsuit within...

In light of what has happened, the decision is becoming monumental
in its importance. Democracy, the U.S. Constitution, and the rule of law,
are all that are at stake here.

... sad sad day for America and everything it fought for...
and everything it says it still stands for today.

Ed Steer
Edmonton, Alberta

... has ominous implications.

It is time for The Cafe and GATA to go into action.

Write your Congressman and Senators.

Let us pour it on.

... spoke with **** ******, Dow Jones White House Press Correspondent.

When I told him that the Treasury's gold [been] reclassified again to
"Deep Storage," he broke up laughing. [asked me] to forward him the details.

of Mice & Men (or) Planes & Trains (or) Oil & Screwdrivers

Anyone who works with simple tools knows the following.

1. Don't over oil, thinking eXtra is better than enough just needed.

The too much oil will overflow and contaminate other areas.

2. Don't overtight a nut using a wrench, eXtra firm at the most.

Else strip the threads. Same thoughts when screwing,
but here its the fit thats important, as most folks have
but one screwdriver, i have dozens all different sizes.

4Sure JACK knows many more "TruThs"

But back to the oil for an on-topic.

Most men know too much oil or lube is good news
and bad news. Easy in, but too easy out.

4Sure the squeaky wheel, or squawk, will get oiled.

We now see that the usa treasury squeaky custodian
of gold was making too much noise, so it got oil'ed
hoping to lessen anyone's [gata] attempt to grab hold
of it so that it can be examined.

Its like a greased pig now.
