Bush Eats at Texas Restaurant WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush dropped in on a fellow Texas transplant Monday night, indulging his Tex-Mex cravings at a restaurant that followed him here from the Lone Star state. The president, first lady Laura Bush, Commerce Secretary Don Evans and some friends dined in a private room at Jeffrey's, which opened at the Watergate Hotel in April under the boastful slogan that its Austin original was ''a favorite of George W. and Laura'' when they lived at the Texas governor's mansion. True to its roots, the restaurant featured Texas-sized prices ($35 for a ribeye steak with Roquefort mashed potatoes), but details were hard to come by..... jttmab
