GET REAL.........REAGAN wasn't even a good actor. With regards to Reagan's failures as chief executive in foreign affairs, it is difficult to ignore the Iran-Contra scandal. This is the perfect example of allowing aides to have too much influence on shaping policy. Reagan clearly wanted to free hostages from Iran and he wanted to aide the contras in Nicaragua, so he allowed his aides to devise a policy that did both, however legal or illegal......boy, if Clinton had done this, you guys would have called for his scalp!
