"Do you want to be invested now or wait 3 1/2 months for proof that another up cycle has begun?"

I am all cash now. My intention is:

1) wait through the optimism of this earning's season
2) wait through the "party aftermath"
3) buy in August pessimism
4) wait however long necessary for the upturn

Of course this could be wrong. Based on my performance over the last year, it likely is.

Namaste!

Jim

Try this hypothesis. Chip companies' business turns up in 12 to 18 months, chip equipment in 18 to 24.

If Corning, Lucent, NT say 12 to 18 months, who will be buying chips?
