However, I find its news and human interest coverage to be the most cleverly disguised biased treatment of all. I wish it weren't so, particularly since they get some public money, don't they?

As far as I know they still receive federal funds. [Cheers] I didn't find the news or human interest coverage to be biased. Wall Street Week that was biased, or at least good ol' Louie was. [BTW, Are Louie and the elves still scoffing at the at the turn downward in techs?]

The Lehrer Hour? Biased? I think it gave the most thorough news coverage of any network. Some moderate left and right debate; I'll agree the little fat guy was more left than he should have been for the show, but it was easy enough to filter.

For some reason, I just recalled a number of calls-ins to CSPAN. Conservatives calling in asking why [in an irritated tone] the media didn't publish stories that were critical of the liberals. The conversation always went like:

CSPAN: What type of news story are you thinking of ma'am?

Caller: Well, for one. How about [insert topic of the day]?

CSPAN: Ma'am. Where did you learn about that story?

Caller: What?

CSPAN: How did you know about [insert topic of the day]

Caller: I read it?

CSPAN: Where did you read it?

Caller: It was in the newspaper.

CSPAN: Thank you for your call.
