Thanks for the link. The historical existence of Jesus stands on shaky ground, as does the idea of an ancient kingdom of Israel. Both are highly unlikely, but cannot be completely refuted. My personal feeling is that it doesn't matter whether he existed. Either he or the writers who created him had the same idea: religion is about morals, not rites; it is about being good to your fellow man, not to your religious superiors. Tom
