Take a look at what they charge for the Alpha Server model GS320:

It seems like they charge $466,200 for the Alpha Server GS320 and $16,100 each for 31 add on 1 ghz cpu for an additional $499,100.

That looks like they get $965,300 for a 32 processor Alpha Server.

What am I missing?
