What is interesting among the articles you post here is the many people who are espousing what Bush should do for the nation, the world, etc. For eight years it has been taken for granted that Clinton would do for Clinton, period. There are even very few liberals who are foolish enough to assume that William the Bastard gave a rat's ass about anything that would benefit the country he purportedly served-even though those liberals lied and, still lie, about that sentiment in making their arguments....

Dear Westi: Can you remember who wrote the comment: "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink"

Seems to me thats similar to democracy. We serve as a shining light, and when asked we have intervened at least with lip service if not with munitions and sometimes even with our own people. Personally, I have no problem assisting others on occassion, but I for one am opposed to military intervention. If the PEOPLE cant fight for their freedom I cant see why we should for them. You only appreciate what YOU pay for. Bush made it CLEAR in his running that he was not going to be an interventionist. JDN
