Hi Glenn -- Can we use your business as an economic barometer? Are things getting "better", or are we going to spend the next week hearing abut how things are bad and "getting worse"? If so, the market looks overpriced.

GST,

You are welcome to use my business as a barometer although it is not brad enough for the entire economy. My merket area employment is more based on industry such as parts for factories, etc. rather than high tech or service. In this market employment is weak. There are still many layoffs and I do not see any being called back. Most firms are now just reducing hours but they had layed off many earlier in the year. I do not see an improving business climate. I see more consumer spending but I really attibute that to a feel for a need to do so or desire rather than confidence in one's income. The majority of buying is on credit in this area and that will catch up with many. My reference to credit is VISA, Mastercard, etc.

I would go on the market being overpriced concept.
