Wow, you're unbelievable, apparantly you still don't understand the difference between fixed costs and variable costs. Let's try this one last time: As production goes up, fixed cost per unit does decrease, but fixed cost in total stays the same. That's why it's called FIXED. As production goes up, variable cost per unit stays the same, but variable cost in total goes up. That's why it's called VARIABLE. Like I said, this is a fairly simple accounting principal and is not limited to only AMD's bean counters. No HOOTING is necessary, as your difficulty comprehending this matter is either due to not reading the posts thoroughly before replying or else you probably missed Cost Accounting in college. It was the same time as Insults 101. CB
