my greatest investments:

1. my gradschool edumacation
(after the fur flied and dust cleared, got a great resume, which I can now use to resume hop for another 13 years, never to be held accountable, chasing the next bigger salary, and always insisting on a hefty signon bonus)

2. my friends
(they listen to me when I feel pain, just wish I didnt feel so so much all the time, but we have fun and sure do know how to laugh)

3. my parents
(whose steady risk-free lifestyle, whose frugality, whose unconditional love will provide me a safety net in future years, as they amassed a modest fortune that has only found 3rd gear on their Chevy Chevelle)

the Good Professor (Dad) believes the source of all great humor is misery and sadness
he claims it is the basis of most Irish wit and laughter
he may be right

great news, I found out I am over 50% Irish
it is 9/16 Irish (investment mgmt skill, emotional self-control)
and 5/16 English (blank canvass, nothing more)
and 1/8 German (brains, just suck the brain cells)

ok, ok, simmer down, Jackass
need a rest
the Cool Post made my day
