I wonder why Jesus said this? He claims that believers (such as G.M.) will in ACTUALITY--heal the blind, return from the dead--blah, blah, blah (these being "the works" done by Jesus), and believers in Jesus will also do "works" that are greater than these?!

Jesus is speaking of individual believers ("He that believeth on me"). Where do we have evidence for this? Who on this thread will do works such as Jesus did...and, indeed...GREATER??

Again, "WHATSOEVER" is asked in the name of Jesus--WHATSOEVER IS ASKED--that will be done.

Is this true?? Perhaps we need an (ahhmmm...) interpretation ;)

JOHN

14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

14:13
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
