PCCW/Telstra jv granted FBO licence in Singapore 2001-07-11 Terms and Conditions Pacific Century CyberWorks Ltd and Telstra Corp Ltd's joint-venture, Reach Ltd, has been awarded a facilities-based operator licence by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore. The FBO licence enables Reach to connect to its own cable capacity in Singapore and to offer wholesale bandwidth and data services to carriers, service providers and ISPs, a Reach statement said. The new licence will enable Reach to develop its Singapore operation as a regional gateway point of presence in Southeast Asia by offering direct bandwidth connectivity to neighbouring countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. "Although the FBO licence allows the holder to undertake a range of activities, our interests are largely international in nature.
