Joe, <the policy of Intel management is that the shareholders cannot be trusted with information on how the company is run, where the revenues are coming from, breakdown of server revenue vs. other segments, and sequential changes in these segments.>

It's one thing to be vague. It's another thing to be totally off. And it's yet another thing to swindle.

course, with Intel, we are limited to these tidbits of information, because the policy of Intel management is that the shareholders cannot be trusted with information on how the company is run, where the revenues are coming from, breakdown of server revenue vs. other segments, and sequential changes in these segments.

It is management's duty to disclose major financial issues. And Intel does this with more particularity that any other corporation which I follow.

It is not their duty to show you how to run the business, or to ask your permission on what decisions to make that they and not you are responsible for.

I am also fully aware that the foregoing contains a dangling preposition and for that I sincerely apologize.

Jozeph,

By comparison, AMD is very open and forthcoming, which is why everyone expected EPS for the quarter of 27 cents and we are now told they will be 3 cents.

For the first time, Jerry declined to reveal the breakdown of CPU unit shipments between Athlon and Duron, citing "competitive reasons." Guess the AMD shareholders cannot be trusted with that piece of seemingly innocuous information, huh? LOL!
