Ya know, Joe, a true investor is really only interested in the amount of net revenue generated.

A competitor, on the other hand, would be very interested in the quality of that revenue. And would find no end to rationalize the public need for the specific information he is seeking.

Fortunately the securities disclosure laws contemplate the distinction.

You don't own any Intel stock, do you? And let's face it, you wouldn't really buy any even if Andy Grove gave you the formula for galleium arsenide, now would you, if truth be known.
