I agree..if your confident in NetApp's future then i've came to the same conclusion..volatility can be a good thing.

Since i consider NetApp a possible king in the NAS space, you must be careful and hold the stock lightly.

Let's say the stock is at 50 in 2005. An average cost of 10 means I can turn 100K into a half million. But, if I can get my average cost down to 5, I can turn 100k into a million.

Ya, if NetApp hits 50 this all sounds great..i hope it does i'm a current shareholder. Here's a post i wrote which briefly talks about valuations.

October of '98 was not this bad, and that only lasted a few months.

MEANWHILE, AS WE WAIT FOR THE PANIC...

And not a big one : the weak players, gamblers and newcomers had to return to business as usual... often with debts. Life is dangerous. So I don't believe that the high PE tech companies ( excluding .catdogetc) that are not facing a real risk of banckruptcy within the next three quarters will see their price cut by two, any more.
The best you could get is downtrend days starting... now, but not for that long before a correction, then, a wait and see attitude while the cuts finally do start to soak in.
Another reason is that we are quite a few to be waiting like you are, but probably not... that patient. Cheers.
Epsteinbd.

At this point, I don't care how low we go, I will confidently buy and buy and buy some more, because I'm certain (and I'm certain about very, very few things) that the stock will be a lot higher in the future. It might take a year....or two..... but I will make a lot of money in this stock

Damn, Jacob. You're starting to sound like Crystal Ball! :-)
