Dear Paul:

Look over this page:

emulators.com

P4 has bugs in the design (well known by all with the possible exception of a few Intel "stick your head in the sand" people). And it gets blown away doing emulation.

NIKKEI is trading about 200 points away from the 16 year low.

What is your capital preservation strategy Paul?

Or, are you hoping that the bottom that Andy Bryant saw a at the end of Q1 was not a mooning object?

Paul, "Timing Problem Prevents AGP Fast Writes Operation"

Yep. The stupid AMD still tried to implement AGP
with all 3.3V signaling modes. Intel was smarter:
they drop all 3.3 signaling modes, and use
only 1.5V levels on 850 chipset. So 90% of older
AGP cards become unusable if you want to upgrade
to P4. Very convenient for PC enthusiasts<ggg>.

<How about 4 revisions - in 6 months?

amd.com

Product Errata.....>

Revisions of a chip does not mean the chip is unreliable or that a chip is recalled. Take Coppermine for example. It went through multiple revisions in the second half of 1999 and had many bugs in it in the earlier versions ( intel.com ). I don't ever remember you claiming that it was unreliable. Even after it was recalled when it hit the bogus 1.13G mark.

Product recalls are rare events in this industry. Intel, due to competition from AMD, managed to have had their unfair share over the last couple years.

Given the events of the last year or so, it is ridiculous to claim Intel's CPU's are more reliable than AMD's. Why you insist on continuing a losing argument is beyond me.
