Talk about reach! This one takes the cake!
Many have tried to parlay Akhnaten and his relatives into the Judeo-Christian world for centuries. I think it is balderdash! Akhnaten worshipped Aten, to the dismay of the powerful priests of Amon-Ra; he seems to have been an idealist without any touch of pragmatism; and somewhat physically impaired. He left is wife and children at the mercy of those who followed: Ay and Horemheb.

The Coptic Church still exists in Egypt. We also thank them for their links to the ancient Egyptian language.

I, for one, am not a great fan of organized religion -- too many crimes committed in its name. Why can't people realize there are different paths to the same goal.
