It's called the fleecing of the middle class. Ask that lady how new home sales are doing in the 150-300k price range to people who aren't buying them as rental investments. Eventually your only choice will be to rent and shop at Target or own multiple properties and shop at Saks. <gg>

horsegirl48, thanks for the observations. Amazing. Is your area northeast, midwest, Pacific coast? Some areas of New England are like that, some not. Some people think things are slowing down. Hard to tell right now.
