John, RBAK recently whopper-warned (TM pending) already, and is no bellwether. Yahoo? Maybe. And if GE is tomorrow morning, that'll trump them all. The thing is, for the next few weeks there are earnings on a daily basis that could send us one way or the other. And, to play contrarian, last earnings season. . . in the face of horrid earnings and constant guide downs. . . the Naz rallied hard from April 4th til the highs, so it's hard for me, anyway, to know which earnings are gonna play havoc on the markets (and I imagine some earnings WILL play havoc).

Oh, and Bobcor. . . good to see you back. I'm hoping after the close today I'll post a response to your great post. I'm trying to think "what's different between now and early April" when your post could also have been written. . . and when the market rallied anyway, as some pundits believe it will now. Maybe we can find some differences that will be of use?
