Re: SUNW and Hitachi

This is the same Hitachi stuff that HWP has been reselling for the past couple of years since their break with EMC. Hasn't exactly done wonders for HWP and I don't expect it to do much more for SUNW. In many ways this is SUNW throwing in the towel on its storage ambitions and is further evidence that they are unable to make the transition from the old processor-centric world to the new storage-centric paradigm.

True. Over the years, I routinely find mistakes, often ones on facts that could be easily checked, in the investing "popular press". And, although analysts make fewer mistakes of fact, they have massive conflicts of interest. But, both the analysts and popular press are worth paying attention to, because lots of people do pay attention to them. WSJ articles routinely move stocks up and down.

I'm going to start buying EMC LEAPs, if it hits 16, which it'll do by friday if things keep going the way they are. I'm thinking the 2004 20s.
