Andreas, The 1 Ghz Duron launch really only makes sense if they are binning well at that speed. Otherwise, ASP will get bombed again. Here's a good review comparing AthlonMP and Xeon dual processor workstation performance (link found at JCs): cadalyst.com Looks like performance of 1.2 Ghz Palomino is essentially equivalent to 1.7 Ghz Xeon. However, a close look at the results shows that Athlon performance was dragged down by low OpenGL performance, which is probably due to less driver optimization by the graphics card companies vis-a-vis the Intel platform.
