First I'm not discouraged, I'm being realistic given we are in a bear market which may rival the 29-32 drop when all is said and done. This bear market could last years, to unwind the excesses of a 19 year bull market. I don't own nortel, so averaging down is not an issue. As to why one should wait, why buy at $8 with considerable uncertainty when one can buy at $5 (or $10) with evidence the company will survive? There are still too many unanswered questions about the depth of this telecom shakeout. Apparently the answer is obvious to you that a bottom is in - I've seen too many sucker rallies to worry about missing the next run...
