Bowstreet: Bowstreet and Interwoven team to deliver innovative PortalReady solutionInterwoven's content infrastructure to underpin Bowstreet's business web portals
London, Jul 11, 2001 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Bowstreet today announced it has joined Interwoven's (Nasdaq: IWOV chart, msgs) PortalReady Partner Program and will use Interwoven's Portal Ready SDK (software development kit) to tightly integrate Interwoven's Content Infrastructure with Bowstreet's Business Web Portals.

Bowstreet's Business Web Portals are a packaged, ready-to-use suite of products that speed development and deployment of massively customisable portals for many of today's most pressing e-business initiatives, including enterprise information sharing, eCRM, syndicated storefronts, corporate intranets, partner extranets and supply chain collaboration. Bowstreet and Interwoven have a number of joint customers, including Cisco Systems and GE Small Business Solutions.

"Interwoven's new Portal SDK will allow customers to immediately take advantage of Content Infrastructure's functionality in our Business Web Portals," said Bowstreet vice president of business development Kristen Brown. "Using Bowstreet's dynamic portal platform, non-technical business managers can create portal environments that complement Interwoven's Content Infrastructure ability to empower non-technical contributors."

The seamless integration will enable content contributors to access vital Content Infrastructure capabilities including content collaboration, content management and approval workflows from within the Bowstreet dynamic portal platform

"Bowstreet has effectively redefined 'portals' from just aggregating static content inside a corporation to assembling and delivering content and business processes across the Internet to all kinds of devices anywhere on-the-fly," said Tom Steding, vice president of Interwoven's Portal business unit. "By fusing Content Infrastructure with Bowstreet's Business Web Portals, we will accelerate our customers time-to-portal and increase the portal's effectiveness by providing more timely and relevant content."

Bowstreet is also using Interwoven's Content Infrastructure software for its corporate web site, www.bowstreet.com. "We use Content Infrastructure to add valuable structure and process to everything from branding and site consistency to change control and distributed authorship, all with complete administrative control," explained Bowstreet's web marketing manager Elissa Robins. "Content Infrastructure has everything a webmaster might have on their wish list of requirements."
